Who writes our guides
Every guide is written by a named member of the Configo LTD team. The writer's name sits under the title and links to a page listing everything they have written. See our writers.
Where facts come from
Entry rules, visa fees, taxes and dates come from official sources first: government, embassy, immigration and tourism board sites. Each travel guide lists the sources it was checked against at the end.
Prices, plans and policies in comparisons come from each provider's own website, read on the date shown on the guide. If we cannot check a provider's current prices, it stays out of the comparison until we can. We do not estimate a number and present it as fact, and when something has not been announced yet, we say so.
How comparisons are ranked
A comparison ranks exactly five picks and names one winner. Each pick gets a "best for" line naming the traveller it suits, what we like, what to keep in mind, and the specs that matter in that category. We do not publish star ratings, scores or reviews, because we do not have rating data to back them.
Our own products
Configo LTD, which publishes AfterLanding, also makes Pelesim, a travel eSIM, and CallTuv, an app for calling landlines and mobiles. Pelesim leads our eSIM comparisons and CallTuv leads our calling app comparisons.
We disclose this in the footer of every page and on our about page. The other picks in those comparisons are described from their own websites, and their prices and policies are shown as those sites state them.
Links
Links to Pelesim and CallTuv carry tags that tell those sites the visit came from AfterLanding. Links to other companies go straight to their own sites, and none of them are affiliate links.
Updates and corrections
Every guide shows the date it was last checked. When we learn that a rule, fee or price has changed, we correct the guide and update that date.
If you spot something wrong or out of date, tell us and name the guide.
Photos and logos
Photos come from Unsplash under the Unsplash License, and we credit the photographer under each one. Company logos are used only to identify the product being compared, and are not altered.
